It’s Reading Week (Exclamation Point)
Monday, February 15th, 2010For the second year in a row, Lance and I have decided to phone it in during our February-spring-break-equivalent, and will be posting some stuff we’ve already made instead of making new comics. This year, we don’t have any stick figure comics, but you can watch our blog everyday this week for drawings Lance has done for the Gateway and two Napkins comics. Rad? Rad.
And if that wasn’t enough to appease you commie bastards, allow me to supply you with links to our favourite Gateway articles that we’ve written in the past 6 months or so:
1. I interviewed Nils Edenloff from the Rural Alberta Advantage, which was pretty cool…
2. …and I also reviewed When in Rome, which is most-assuredly a shitty movie, but at least the review was fun to write.
3. Lance wrote a fun article about how teachers ask too much of their students.
4. Sometimes two words sound the same but mean different things. That sucks! (Winner of the November Gateway Opinionweight)
5. Lance and I co-wrote (without precedent) an article about how twins are sometimes part of sexual fantasies.
6. Lance doesn’t care forĀ inanimate objects, but Ian does. They go head-to-head over it. (Winner of the October Gateway Opinionweight)
7. I don’t stand up to pee, but our good friend and the co-creator of TV Head, Doug Johnson, does. Who needs “real” journalism anyway?
8. and 9. We wrote a couple of excellent group commentaries with our good friends Hannah Cochran, Doug Johnson, Ross “Dick Freedom and Ringo de Circle” Vincent, Harrison Lee, and Gateway Opinion Editor David Johnston. One of them was about crazy punctuation marks and the other is aboutĀ strange phobias. We’re all awesome, together.
That should keep you busy. Unless you’re one of those damn speed-readers, and if you are one, I want you to know that I hate you, but only because I’m jealous.
