It’s Twin Week!
For no reason at all, we’ve decided to declare the 4th week of April “Twin Week” on our website. Every day this week, expect to find new and exciting twin content. I don’t want to give away the surprise (because they’re already kind of lame any way) but it’s all really cool stuff and you should check it out.
Today, being the first day of twin week, I wanted to take the time to educate our readers on how twins helped build this great world and why you should think twice before shrugging off twins as “just some people that look like each other”, because we’re so much more.
-Did you know that Lance and I are twins? That’s true. And we’re the best. But you already knew that, didn’t you?
-Did you know that twins are also criminals? No? Well take a look at Albert and Ebenezer Fox, also known as the TWIN FOXES (badass, I know). They’re bad people. As in good bad.
-Did you know that twins have been in space? Just ask Mark E. Kelly and Scott J. Kelly about it. Combined, they’ve been in space for over 50 days. How many days have you been in space? Fewer than 50 days I bet.
-There’s a fairly good chance that you know about the Sedin Twins who play for the Vancouver Canucks. And if that doesn’t impress you, know this: Lance and I have been known to be compared to the Sedins, and we’re the best (remember?), so they must be pretty good too.
-And not only do we play sports, but we also have an entire team named after us.
-And who could forget about Fred and George, elder brothers of Ron Weasley. They started a business together–they’re goddamn entrepreneurs. What have you done lately? Watched Lost? Like that’s an accomplishment.
There’s really too many twins to mention; I could go on and on all night, but eventually I’d just start repeating myself (twin humour).
-Evan
ps. To be clear, I want to specify that there will be nothing about fraternal twins or “fake twins”, as I like to call them, on our website this week. Those posers should look elsewhere. This is about real twins.
