Web-house keeping
Friday, January 23rd, 2009I’ve kind of been putting this off, but I suppose I should welcome everyone to our (now relatively) new website, popandicecream.com.
So… Welcome! I’m glad you chose to spend just a little bit of your time with us. There aren’t a tremendous number of people visiting the site yet, but there are a few, and the fact that you are here really means a lot to Lance and me.
Lance and I have been making a single strip a week for nearly 3 years now and we’ve decided that starting February 3rd, we will now be making 2 strips a week. What this means is the website will now be updating on a Tuesday/Thursday schedule. The Tuesday strip will typically be a rerun of an old strip from The Gateway (usually 2 weeks old). But the Thursday strip will be a new, never before published strip and will only be available on this website.
I’ve also been looking at ways to expand this website beyond the comics. Right now you can follow Lance on twitter.com/lancemudryk, but beyond that we don’t have much else going on. However, I’m hoping to, in the coming months, start the official podcast of popandicecream.com, The Popcast (assuming I don’t think of a better title). Lance and I already have some experience podcasting on our old blog, but for our new podcast, I want to do it right. So I’m working on pricing out a few things and thinking of ways to make the podcast fun and different, but until then our website is still pretty light on content….
Nevertheless, I am working on a few things and hopefully we’ll be able to see some more fun stuff here. I’d love to hear from you, the readers. You can comment on this post if you have anything to say or if you like or hate any particular comic, comment on those. Any feedback is great and, once again, Lance and I really appreciate your coming here.
