Dear the reader:
Lance and I are putting Pop and Ice Cream on indefinite hiatus while we rethink how we make the comic. When we started making Pop and Ice Cream back in September 2008, we hadn’t put too much thought into what type of comic we wanted to make, which is why it turned into the gag-a-week strip that it is now. We loved making that strip then, but my feelings have changed some since we started. Now that we have the experience of making the comic for these past 2 years, we feel like we’re ready to making the comic that we’re meant to make; but we first need to think about what that comic might be, and how different it should be from the comic we make now. I still want to retain Pop and Ice Cream to some degree, even if it is only in name/spirit, but we’ll see.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. I thank everyone who has ever read the strip and I thank you even harder if you’ve ever let us know what you thought of the comic, be it criticism or compliment or somewhere in between. If you have any questions or feelings you’d like to share, let me or lance know at evan@popandicecream.com or lance@popandicecream.com.
Right now, we have to do some soul searching.

After nearly a month-long absence, the podcast is back! Sorry for all the delays, it won’t happen again because Lance and I are now making the podcast a non-weekly feature. This means an episode will be posted once I have time to edit them. I was getting tired of trying to rush to finish these and this way each podcast will be posted once I think it is up to quality, and not because of some arbitrary time. We still hope to make as many podcasts as possible, but this is the best way to make sure I’m not getting stressed out.
On this episode, we’re joined by Jonathan Taves, outgoing-Deputy News Editor for the Gateway and veritable tall man in real life. We talk about drifting, the KFC Double Down, and the apocalypse. On “Would You Rather,” we “debate” whether we’d take 15 nails in our respective penises, or if we’d prefer to have saliva that tastes like urine.
Episode Five: Are You Sitting Here? w/ Jonathan Taves

Making a podcast is a fair bit of work. We did manage to finally record one this past week, but I haven’t gotten around to editing it yet. Hopefully I’ll have time tonight, but, more likely, look for it sometime this week.

This week I phone it in with the editing a bit, which is why the transitions are all the same. We’re also joined by Sarah Stead, A&E editor of the Gateway. Also no Power Minute and we read a fan letter for a really long time. I’m not going to bother doing real show notes right now because I’m sleepy, but this is surely an episode not to be missed!
Episode Four: Let’s Talk About Tim Conway w/ Sarah Stead
Running time: 23:24
